Where Buddhist Groups Can Retreat Together

Group Meditation Self‑Retreats in the Alpujarras, Spain

A Simple Retreat Home for Tired Hearts and Busy Minds

Welcome to our peaceful home in Alcazar. We bought this house as our very own retreat - hence the name. It is not a temple but a family home where we come to switch off, unwind and meditate when normal life has drained us of our spirit.

We feel others would appreciate this house as their own space for group self retreats, Buddhist practice or anyone who just needs to step back, breathe and connect with the stillness, space and nature. Alcazar is known to the residents as ‘The Quiet’. There are no bars, cafes or shops, just a collection of whitewashed houses with views over the Sierra Nevada mountains.
